Is this a good method for coping with anxiety/panic attacks?

i find that before i get anxious and feel like im going to havea panic attack i tend to ruminate a lot and just let my mind wander, so what i do when i get annxios is focus on something, but something concrete not vague ideas, so i stat counting backwads from 100 over and over until i feel less anxious. is there anything wrong with this approach?

Costochondritis, heart murmur, anxiety/panic attacks. . what’s wrong with my body?

I’ve had a heart murmur my whole life, no big deal. But, the last few years my chest where my heart is, is tender and it causes me great discomfort if pressed or touched firmly in any way. When I’m also really stressed out, or when I have a panic/anxiety attack, I get the same feeling, just greatly multiplyed. My doctor said I had cosochondritis, and that it would go away in a few weeks at my last check up 4 months ago, but this has been going on for a long time, whats wrong with me?

I need help with anxiety/panic attacks?

I have anxiety, I have panic attacks. . . and I don’t think I can do this anymore. I need to talk to somebody, and I want somebody to give me some words of encouragment. I don’t know what could be triggering these anxiety attacks. . . but here is some information. . .

When did this start?
The anxiety has been going on for about two months, but I have just shrugged it off and moved on. Now it is far worse and sometimes I will just lay awake one morning shaking.
How often does it happen?
Now it has been happening for three days straight, no stopping. The big attacks happen around noon when I am by myself.
Is there something that triggers this?
Nothing that I know of for sure. The last thing that triggered an anxiety attack was somebody mentioning a doctor on one of my questions. I don’t wish to go see a doctor, I am not in pain, I just have some little problems.
How long does it last?
Once it starts it continues for about two hours. . . or until I go to sleep.

I Went To A Clinic Yesterday And Im 8 Weeks Pregnant All Though I Have To Set Up A Appt. At A Different Doctors Office Who Covers My Insurance:)
About Two Days Ago I Was Put In A Very Stressful Situation And I Began To Feel As If I Was Having A Panic Attack, My Body Started Stiffing Up, My Whole Body Was Shaking As If I Was Cold, My Heart Started Beating Rapidly And I Started Getting Pains In My Lower Abdominal & Lower Back Though There Is No Signs Of A Miscarriage.
Since Then Ive Still Felt As If Im Continuing To Have A Panic/Anxiety Attack Several Times Through Out The Day & I Also Cant Sleep.
My Back And Lower Abdominal Have Been In Constant Pain Since Then.
Can A Panic/Anxiety Attack Cause Me To Lose The Baby? & Does Anyone Have A Clue Of Why My Lower Back Is In Such Pain So Early Into My Pregnancy?

Going through a rough time right now and am having severe anxiety. Very close to a panic attack and I’m scared. My DR will not prescribe anything other than Prozac and that isn’t helping although taken for several years. Looking for something natural, (I will continue with Prozac) it’s the only way I can do this. PLease don’t respond w/find another DR. . . I can’t afford to. Need some quick and natural relief if there is such a thing.

does poor eyesight cause anxiety/panic attacks?

Does anyone know for a fact if your eyes are achy and have poor eyesight, it could cause anxiety/panic attacks?

ok, so i have been having all the symptoms of panic attacks, and every one of the 4 doctors i’ve seen came to the same conclusion. . . anxiety disorder, panic attacks. . .

they did cat scans, holtor monitor, ekg, thyroid tests and ultrasounds, and multiple blood tests

NOTHING IS WRONG WITH ME BUT THIS PANIC THING!!!

how come i feel like there is something major wrong with me. . .

this jsut came out of no where. . . with no reason. . . . i keep feeling like now im turning into a hypochondriac. . .

every ache and pain i think is something serious. . .

my leg hurt for the last 2 days, i keep telling myself its a blood clot. . . . i had a 2 day headache, i though was a brain turmor. . .

i went from perfectly normal to a mental health freak. . . . is this normal for panic things???

i have this. . . . thing, its like im in this defense mode, im always waiting for a panic attack to happen. . . . and now its like im expecting it to happen unless im really busy. . .

is being emotional part of it?

does anyone suffer very badly from anxiety/panic attacks? advice needed!!!?

I have a male friend who is 28 who sufferes from what I think are very very severe panic/anxiety attacks. He will be breathing heavily one minute and then the next he seems to alomost lose his mind and turn a bit physcho – with his mind racing at a hundred miles an hour, he will get a bit aggressive, very insecure, paranoid, what he says won’t make any sense and he’ll just basically go a bit mad for a while and then the next day will act as though nothing happened.
I have had panic attacks but it doesn’t effects how I behave or what I say
does anyone recognise these traits? does anyone have any tips as to why this happens and what happends to the brain? and do people have any recolection afterwards as my friend doesn’t seem to!

my son is schizophrenic and he wants to get a part time job at the fast food restaurant or something similar. he asks me if he can get a note from psychiatric that he gets panic attacks every day and he has to leave. Do you know what should he do? are they going to hire him? where people who get panic attacks work? thanks in advance.
