Panic attacks, anxiety, and light headed?

On August 18 of this year I noticed some pain in the upper left center part of my back. Whenever I would take a deep breath it would have a painful resistance. That night, I noticed that the pain went around my left side and across my chest area. I got scared thinking that I might be having a heart attack. After I calmed down, I convinced myself that it was probably bad indigestion because I didn’t eat right at all back then. I hardly ever at breakfast, never at lunch, and then would eat a big supper because I was hungry. And I also drank ALOT of Pepsi then. So the next day, I made myself drink ALOT of water through the day and I lowered my Pepsi intake by quite a bit. Like alot of people I was also experiencing alot of stress too. Not only from scaring myself about the possible heart attack, but also finances, work, and we are first time parents. Our son is 9 months old. I began to get heart palpitations alot. Finally, a week later, it got so bad that I went to the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack. They did an EKG, X-Ray, and blood test and said that all looked okay. They said that I was probably having panic attacks with anxiety plus, the recent change in my diet with lowering my caffeine could also be playing a part in it. A few days later I followed up with my doctor and she also did an EKG and again, my heart was fine. After that, the heart palpitations stopped. She prescribed Xanax for me to take when I thought I needed it. I barely take it. After my heart palpitations stopped, I noticed a constant light headed feeling. Not really a dizzy feeling, but light headed, or derealization. I followed up with my doc again after another blood test and the only thing she found wrong with me is that my cholesterol is high. I am taking 20mg of simvastatin now everyday. I try not to get stressed out about things, and I don’t think I’m depressed. My heart, head and thyroid are all okay according to my doctor and she doesn’t think I am anemic or dehydrated. She suggested that I get my eyes checked out. I will probably go ahead and do that just to be safe. Also, the left part of the back of my neck shoulder area stays sore alot from my posture and the way I sleep and such. I have never been to a chiropractor but thought that might be the cause of my light headed feeling. Maybe my panic attacks tensed up the already sore area of nerves and maybe my neck is out of alignment or something. I just wanted to see if anyone on here had gone through anything similar and/or if anyone had any suggestions. Thanks in advance for your help. . .
I went to a chiropractor last night. He said that my muscular problems were probably not the cause of my lightheadedness. He seemed to think that it could be my inner ear/sinuses. I am in the process of seeing what my doctor thinks about that because I realized that she didn’t check my ears during my last visit. I’ll still probably get my eyes checked too. Hopefully my lightheaded/dizzy feelings will be from one of these.
